Fresa: An Origin Story
Fresa was named as a reclamation of the Mexican slang used to negatively describe a stuck up girl, one that is spoiled and never satisfied. A nickname my parents gave me, one my Mom still uses, made popular in the 90s with the song Niña Fresa that I loved as a toddler (still do tbh).
As a brand + business + literal representation of me and my values, Fresa will always stand for women and fight for the oppressed, for those whose lights have been dimmed and those that are unable to fight for themselves.

I have over six years experience working in the nonprofit sector, writing and project managing grant proposals at the local, state, and federal level; ten years experience copy editing, writing, and designing print and online media; and, a lifetime of experience of being crafty and making art.
