Growing up Mexican in the U.S. presented a unique balancing act, between cultures, customs, religion, and gender norms. Fresa is about empowerment. It’s a celebration of being unapologetically yourself and finding strength in that authenticity. It's about standing for women and the oppressed—for those whose light has been dimmed and those who feel unable to fight for themselves.

Fresa is about embracing the many layers of identity. It’s about bridging gaps — cultural, personal, and societal — so no one feels the need to pick a side or fit into a mold. For most of my life, I have felt “not from here or there,” navigating the in-between spaces of my identity as a Mexican American woman. Life felt fragmented, with parts of me compartmentalized to fit the traditional cultural expectations I grew up with and the modern world around me.

I built Fresa as a platform to connect to my own cultural stories and identity, creating a space to share my underrepresented story and celebrate the powerful universal connection of scent and design.
